Prisma festival has two open calls

PRISMA / Art Light Tech festival has two open calls for its next edition. Two opportunities for the community to take part in the event and show their work at its fourth edition.

Repeating an initiative already presented in previous years, the open call for the third edition of the School of Videomapping is aimed at the community of the Aveiro region, beginners and professionals, showing them new possibilities towards the application of projection technologies on areas like architecture, design, installation, visual arts, theatre and multimedia environment. With a limit of 15 participants, this training course will have online, blended and onsite modules in September and October. The outcome will be presented during the festival, in October. The open call for the presentation of an original artwork at PRISMA is open until August 31st and has a national and international scope. Candidates will have the bandstand at Parque Infante D. Pedro as the venue for the exhibition of a light artwork during the festival. Different formats will be considered, from installation to immersive projection, statue like projects and several other possibilities. The winning proposal will have a grant of 8,000 euros (+ VAT, if applicable). Registrations here.

PRISMA / Art Light Tech is festival that that takes light as its raw material to combine contemporary art and playful activities in the public space. Its a two nights long event that invites people to the (re)discovery of Aveiro’s territory.

The event is organized by the Aveiro City Council and is part of the city’s bid for European Capital of Culture in 2027.
