Zé Ibarra concert at Teatro Aveirense
Published at — 5 May 2025
Zé Ibarra will be giving a first-hand preview to his new album, to be released at the beginning of June. In many ways, this is the Brazilian musician's first solo album. After achieving success with two very different bands in Brazil (Dônica and Bala Desejo), the time has come to present his own identity in a solo album. The concert is scheduled for 9 May at Teatro Aveirense, at 21h30.
Marking a change from his previous project, which featured only voice and guitar, this new record will feature Zé Ibarra accompanied by a band, allowing him to explore and show new dimensions of his art. The album will include original compositions by Ibarra, as well as works by leading voices in Brazil's contemporary music scene, including Sophia Chablau, Maria Beraldo and Itallo França. Long-time collaborator Dora Morelenbaum couldn't be left out, highlighting an ongoing creative partnership.
Singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Zé Ibarra has already won a Latin GRAMMY award in the category of Best Pop Album in the Portuguese Language for his album ‘Sim, Sim ’Sim‘’, by the band Bala Desejo.
