Festival Novos Bardos has already begun

Teatro Aveirense has kicked off its second event of the year dedicated to playwriting. The Novos Bardos Festival is presented as a celebration of Portuguese drama, conceived with the ambition of becoming a hub for strengthening playwriting in Portugal, bringing together several cities. Playwrights in action, searching for the right words to resolve the issues of our time.
The event features trainers Marcos Barbosa, Kimber Lee, Cátia Faísco, Lígia Soares, Guilherme Gomes, José Gardeazabal and Patrício Torre, involving training workshops in writing for theatre, sessions where playwrights explore, with a group of actors, scenes from plays they have written, and a session with Kimber Lee and actors, staging an unpublished play by this renowned American author.
A week of intensive exploration of playwriting, between 27 and 31 October.
