As part of Festival END, Teatro Aveirense presents the performance ‘Quando os Anjos Falam de Amor’ (When Angels Speak of Love), an initiative that will take place in four houses in the city and momentarily change the domestic experience of their inhabitants. Registration to take part in this itinerary is now open and everyone will have the opportunity to join in, with performances on 26 and 27 March at 6 pm and 9.30 pm.
The ritual and performance ‘Quando os Anjos Falam de Amor’ (When Angels Speak of Love), by Henrique Furtado Vieira with Catarina Vieira, Leonor Mendes and Sérgio Matias, is a show inspired by the Ghostbusters that looks at intimacy as a space for practising and sharing stories, oracular gestures, affectionate offerings and silent dances that cross the visible and the invisible.
Anyone who wants to participate and open the doors of their home can register for free by emailing carlota@orumodofumo.com. Selected participants may invite some relatives, as well as friends or close acquaintances, and pets are also welcome.
Festival END – Encontros de Novas Dramaturgias (Encounters with New Dramaturgies), by Colectivo 84, will take place on 26 and 27 March with several other activities, including a seminar and a reading by Teresa Coutinho, a performance by António Alvarenga, an audiowalk by Michaël de Oliveira and the premiere of the show “hurry up please it’s time” by Luís Araújo.
Festival END is part of a week-long celebration of World Theatre Day, which will also be marked at Teatro Aveirense with a Drama Writing Workshop by Teatro Nova Europa between 24 and 28 March, and the play “O Figurante” by Mateus Solano on 28 March.
