Fifth edition of Reencontros de Música Contemporânea

The fifth edition of Reencontros de Música Contemporânea (RMC) brings us new encounters with music, both new and from our more recent past. In the presence of various composers, Teatro Aveirense will host premieres by groups such as Re:Flexus Trio and Taleae, while also welcoming the return of musicians and groups that have developed more or less regular partnerships with the Arte no Tempo association, such as the Orquestra das Beiras, soloists João Casimiro Almeida, Gonçalo Lélis, Horácio Ferreira (who is performing here with his quintet Art'Ventus), Nuno Aroso and, of course, the ars ad hoc, but also the incredible hand werk.

The centenary of the birth of two of the 20th century's most important composers - Pierre Boulez (1925-2016) and Luciano Berio (1925 - 2003) - is being marked, albeit discreetly.

In addition to the regular concerts and the usual New Music for New Musicians stage (this year directed by Carlos Lopes), RMC 2025 includes the presentation of a new aural walk by Tomás Quintais, the launch of two record albums (ars ad hoc by neper music; Nuno Aroso by AnT) and a concert for families.
