Ricardo Ribeiro with new album at Teatro Aveirense

Teatro Aveirense welcomes once again a leading name in fado, this time with Ricardo Ribeiro. The artist brings a new album with him, ‘A Alma Só Está Bem Onde Não Cabe’ (The Soul Is Only Well Where It Doesn't Fit), and will perform on 5 March at 9.30 pm.
With several gold discs, six albums and many awards to his name, Ricardo Ribeiro will release a new album on 13 March, for which he wrote most of the songs. In this concert, he will be accompanied by José Manuel Neto on the Portuguese guitar, Carlos Manuel Proença on the fado guitar and Didi Pinto on the bass, for a performance that, as has been customary in this fado singer's career, should be marked by a restraint that can be unexpectedly attacked by brute violence in the next verse.
With a repertoire based on traditional fado, coloured by his Alentejo roots and with Arabic, Sephardic and Iberian influences in his artistic personality, this will be a concert that strikes a balance between traditional fado and the future of the style.
