New circus from Manolo Alcántara Company at Teatro Aveirense

Contemporary circus will be once again at Teatro Aveirense. This once the highlight goes to the national premiere of “Déjà Vu”, by the Manolo Alcántara Company, a show between reality and fantasy that will presented on March 18, at 9:30 pm.
“Déjà Vu” tells the story of a man's difficulties in reconciling his dreams with reality. He has grandiose ambitions but few possibilities of realizing them, which makes him sink into discouragement. This duality is shown through the sounds of voice and violin, taking the audience to the world of fantasy, with a very refined humour and a touch of surrealism. It is, therefore, a play without text, which assumes movements, expressions and scenarios as vehicles for its message. A visual and sensorial work by Manolo Alcántara, an artist who in 2021 won the National Circus Award from the Spanish Ministry of Culture, having also won a FETEN Award, in Gijón, for his “Déjà Vu”.
Tickets for the show cost €5.00 and can be purchased at the Teatro Aveirense box office or through ticketline.pt.
